I have to tell you that I’m not a fan of Forex Robots…

If you’re reading this then you have most likely seen the term Forex Alerts or Forex Alerts once or twice. Or you’ve seen those get rich quick websites that speak of automated trading strategy or automated trading software.

You see I am a big believer of the human touch. In my 30+ years dealing with computers (I started very young), I’ve come to realize that “Technology is Great, when it works” and that technology is simply a tool that works best when technology and human intuition are married.

You see I am a big believer of the human touch. In my 30+ years dealing with computers (I started very young), I’ve come to realize that “Technology is Great, when it works” and that technology is simply a tool that works best when technology and human intuition are married.

Lets face it, if Forex Alerts and Forex Robots worked as well as promised, the entire world would be retired now.

The short end of it is that nothing beats human intuition. With that said, you should get some training on Forex, and get really good at technical analysis. Better yet, develop a trading plan or system that works FOR YOU. Nevermind everyone else.

In January of 2010 I started writing trading strategies for the ActFx trading platform. Typically trading strategies are used to automate trading, I took a different approach… Voila… and my first trading strategy was born that simply alerts traders of potential trading opportunities, using two Exponential Moving Averages on the 1 hour chart, across 13 currencies! No trades are placed. That’s it inn a nutshell. Now there are some more indicators and tools I use to confirm that the signal is good, but more on that later.
